I saw the live show...the play, not a showing of the movie or anything...in SF a few years ago and I'm wondering if anyone knows when its coming back to this area?
Really, any kind of showings of it, movie or otherwise. Any one know anything? I miss it!

Thu, August 25, 2005 - 4:36 PMI saw the stage play in SF too a few times. So fun when Hedwig comes out and car washes some lucky fool.

I didn't see that Hedwig was coming back anytime soon. We can always hope, though.
On a sad note, the bassist for the SF production of Hedwig died while riding his bike around Lake Merritt. He was hit by a car and left his wife and a very young daughter. Matthew Sperry had so many friends and fund raisers are still held for his wife and daughter.
The website is listed below. Stephan Trask came out to perform for the fundaiser which was held at teh Victoria Theater. It was great to see him perform the music that I had been loving all along.

Tue, August 30, 2005 - 1:09 PMYeah it was a pretty amazing show. Matthew's daughter played in the aisles and danced with other kids that were there. It was touching seeing everyone drop all the daily bs for a night of rememberence and honor.
Now the woman who played the accordian was kinda scary... I am still a little traumatized by that one haha

The producers that brought it here have moved on to other projects and it just didnt make as much money as everyone had hoped it would.
